Bulk Absence can be used in HR to record an absence event for a selected subset of employee records. Absences recorded for the subset remain based on the employee’s individual work pattern.
To record a Bulk Absence
Go to the following area:
Latest (left-hand) menu: Holiday & Absence > Absence Administration > Insert Bulk Absence
Pre-2025 (top) menu: People Admin > Tasks > Bulk Absence
Click on the subset button and select the employee records that the absence is being applied
Select the Absence Reason. This will present the default absence reason as configured in your system but using the drop down box will display all available absence reasons
If the information displayed is as expected click Submit
Details relating to the committed absence will be displayed together with information relating to the employee’s entitlement (for holiday related absences)
Click Export to PDF to download a report of the data changes if required
